禁止を表すmay not

may notをアルクの辞書で引くと、「～しないかもしれない」という意味が書いてあります。しかし、may notは、「禁止」を表すことがあります。例を見てみましょう。以下のような法的な禁止事項を述べるときには、「～してはいけない」という禁止の意味です。「～しないかもしれない」などとは訳さないようにしましょう。
